Boy! Was Mistress Muse in a real state today. She was hopping up and down…could barely contain herself! She promised today would be a showstopper. And you know what…she was right! Look what I found today…
Gorgeous pink gladiolas like my grandma, Bernice, used to grow in her Eugene garden.
Red ones, too! I love how the morning dew just hangs on the velvety petals.
Dew drops glisten like precious jewels in my succulent garden.
Look at this amazing spider web in the grass!
After the sun came out, the purple cone flowers were showing off their colors.
This electric blue morning glory just made me hum.
And the pink morning glory was very ladylike. Mistress Muse was very partial to her.
Big fat bumblers just make you happy!
The grapes in my backyard boasted globes of sweet juice and my favorite shade of green.
Even the goldfinches perched on my plum couldn’t resist preening against the exquisite blue sky chirping, look at me! look at me! Miss Muse made sure to acknowledge that they were indeed beautiful which only made them puff up a little more. Sweet little birds.
And, finally, any idyllic moment would be remiss without a reminder of our shadow side. Miss Muse frequently points out that the creepy is just as beautiful as the gorgeous. This is my beastie cat, Rico’s hand. As I was resting in the sun he had to share his massive paw. I must use this in one of my monster drawings.
This post and pictures made me smile!
