Another one of those days where I was daydreaming in back of my head but didn’t know it until I started painting. Been dreaming of tide pools all day. I grew up playing on the Oregon Coast while my dad did his research on sea urchins. My mom showed me my first gumboot chiton. I loved pestering the anemones and digging my toes deep in wet sand. I think this poem is fitting… oceans from tidepoolsdreamer; you might feellost at sea but guidancehas always been withinyou; you will find shoresoon enough.you can look to the starsall night but they maynever hold the answers, you can pray to your godsand to your earth butthey might never write backbecause, dreamer, you areyour own force of natureyou are the captain, andyou have never been lost. – Frances Maxwell Jones, 2016…#studiolife #pdxartists #pdxart #abstract #mixedmedia #artistthoughts #potd #poemoftheday #francesmaxwelljones #tidepools #oregoncoast #pnwonderful #memoriesforlife #metaphor #kintsugi #kintsukoroi #copperleaf #Cu
